Accelerated Christian Education (A.C.E.)

The Accelerated Christian Education (A.C.E.) is an American curriculum designed to enable students to progress academically at their own individual performance levels. Students progress optimally through the curriculum under the guidance of the Academic Supervisors who facilitate their learning, train them to manage their studies, and provide additional explanation or tutorials as needed. 

The Accelerated Christian Education has helped many schools and homeschool parents achieve success through its learning system which has been developed and tested for more than 45 years. From its humble beginnings in 1970, A.C.E. is now worldwide, with a reach in more than 140 countries. Through its philosophy of mastery–based learning, individualization, and character development emphasis, A.C.E. is one of the world's leading homeschool curriculum choice.

A.C.E. has been used by parents and home schools in Penang for over 10 years. Today, over 30 A.C.E. schools have been established throughout Malaysia with the number of schools expected to increase annually.

Accelerated Christian Education's concepts are based on the following Five Basic Laws of Learning:

  1. A child must be at a level where he can perform.
  2. He must have reasonable goals.
  3. His learning must be controlled, and he must be motivated.
  4. His learning must be measurable.
  5. His learning must be rewarded.

ICCE (UK) Certificate

The International Certificate of Christian Education (ICCE) Programme is based on the Accelerated Christian Education (A.C.E.) curriculum, which has been used in schools and homeschools around the world for the past 40 years. 

ICCE provides graduating students with an internationally accepted qualification that enables them to gain entrance to universities and colleges in Malaysia and around the world and to find their place in the world of work according to their interests, aptitudes and achievements.

Cambridge (UK) O Level / A Level Equivalent

The ICCE academic qualification was benchmarked in 2008 and 2011 by the National Recognition Information Centre for the United Kingdom, UK NARIC. 

The outcome of the UK NARIC studies in both instances reported that the ICCE Advanced (Academic) Certificate is comparable to the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) Advanced Level (A Level) standard and that the General Certificate is comparable to the CIE Ordinary Level (O Level) standard.

ICCE Advanced Certificate is also recognized in Malaysia to be comparable to the Malaysian Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) certificate while the General Certificate is comparable to the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM).

Many students including homeschoolers have graduated with ICCE and have successfully enrolled into universities worldwide including Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, UK, United States and many more.

LCA Dual Enrollment Program (American High School Diploma)

Lighthouse Christian Academy (LCA) is the official distance education provider of the A.C.E. Curriculum. The LCA Dual Enrollment Program is designed especially for schools using the A.C.E. Curriculum.

LCA is accredited through Accreditation International and offers each student attending an A.C.E. Model or Quality Status School the opportunity to receive an accredited transcript and diploma through participation in the LCA Dual Enrollment Program.

The American High School Diploma is recognized by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency to be comparable to the Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM).
